Prof. Kuti is a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians and the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Public Health (passed with distinction) from the University of Suffolk, UK. He is a member of many local and international professional bodies including the Pan African Thoracic Society, American Thoracic Society, and the European Respiratory Society. He has won many national and international awards and scholarships including the ATS/PATS Breathe writing award in 2015, UNICAF scholarship for MPH in 2020 and PATS Lung Health Initiative award, 2023. He is on the Editorial board of many journals including the Nigerian Journal of Paediatrics and BMC Paediatrics and he is an external examiner to many medical schools in Nigeria. He has over 80 peer-reviewed publications in both local and international journals.

Prof. Kuti runs the Paediatric Pulmonology clinic at the OAUTHC Wesley Guild Hospital unit, Ilesa where he set up and runs a state-of-the-art Paediatric lung function assessment laboratory capable of assessing spirometry, impulse oscillometry, fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) in children etc. Other facilities include flexible bronchoscopy, point-of-care-ultrasonography and childhood allergies assessment. His areas of research interest include Paediatric asthma, Community acquired Pneumonia, sleep breathing disorders, and lung function assessment in Children and adolescents. Ongoing researches in his unit include Impulse oscillometry in asthma diagnosis and management in pre-school children, oxidants, antioxidants, 25- hydroxyvitamin D and micronutrients in Nigerian children with asthma, serum periostin and IgE in childhood asthma etc.
