ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT (Brief overview)
The Department of Paediatrics and Child Health, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife is an academic department built on integrity, collaborations, friendly working, teaching and research environment and eye for excellence. From a humble beginning some 40 years ago, the department has grown and developed into a world-class academic incubator that has produced giants in the field of Paediatric care and child health. The department now has many flourishing sub-units including Neonatology, Paediatric Nephrology and hypertension unit, Paediatric Endocrinology and metabolic unit, Paediatric Pulmonology, cardiology, neurology, Gastro- enterology and Nutrition etc. There is further room for expansion. The department has many ongoing projects and collaborative works within and outside the country with renewed will to achieve greater heights.
